I wrote GET CLEAR in 2017 after noticing something I couldn't ignore.
Again and again, I saw capable, experienced people step in front of an audience and become their own biggest obstacle.
They knew their subject. They had prepared. They had something worth saying.
And yet the conversation happening inside their own head could completely change what happened when they stood up to speak.
That was true when I wrote the book in 2017. It is just as true today.
Technology has changed. The way we present has changed. We may be speaking from a stage, through a screen, in a meeting, on a panel or pitching an idea across a table.
But the human being delivering the message hasn't changed nearly as much.
We still interpret the room. We still make assumptions about what other people are thinking. We still doubt ourselves, rush, overprepare, hold back or try so hard to get it right that we get in our own way.
GET CLEAR is about recognising that internal conversation — and learning how to become your own best ally when you have something worth saying.
